Do you have rosacea?
If you’re one of the estimated 14 million Americans affected by rosacea, you know constantly having red, inflamed skin on your face is more than just blushing. We have treatment options that can soothe your skin and reduce symptoms improving your overall look—and your confidence.
What is rosacea?
Rosacea is a chronic inflammatory skin condition that primarily affects the face. It causes redness and, at times, can produce small, red, pus-filled bumps. It usually affects adults with fair skin and can often be mistaken for acne, eczema or an allergic reaction. In addition, recent studies have found that kids can also be affected by rosacea.
What causes rosacea?
Experts are not certain what causes rosacea, but abnormalities in facial blood vessels, certain skin mites, family history and fairer skin tone are all considered to contribute to the condition. For people with rosacea, spicy food, caffeine, dairy products, extreme temperatures, sunlight, wind, stress and alcohol consumption can all trigger symptoms.
How can you control your rosacea?
Although there is no cure for rosacea, there are things you can do to reduce symptoms. Over time, you’ll become familiar with the triggers that cause of flare ups for you. Avoid those triggers whenever possible and if your face feels inflamed and sore, use a gentle cleanser and moisturizer to soothe skin.Book an appointment now

How is rosacea treated?
The symptoms of rosacea are best treated with a combination of medication and lifestyle habits. In addition to your regular routine, your dermatologist might prescribe topical creams, antibiotics and oral medications, and eye drops (for ocular rosacea). In extreme cases, laser treatment to shrink visible blood vessels might be possible.
